Moondance 2010
Moondance 2010 will be held on May 27-31, 2010 at Dragon Hills, Georgia (near Carrollton). This festival is a celebration of the harmony of our community in the tradition of the civilized savage at the mercy of the woods. Moondance 2010 will feature classes throughout the weekend on various topics including drumming, sacred massage, chanting, and meditation.
Other activities include an opening ritual on Friday night, a potluck feast — bring your own plates, bowls and utensils; no food prep is provided, and no storage is available in the kitchen for food — on Saturday night, and an open ritual to celebrate the dance of the seasons on Sunday night. All nights will feature bonfires, music, dancing and general revelry.
There’s plenty of room left for vendors and classes. Snag the best spots on the schedule by being one of the first to sign up to do a class! See the list of vendors, staff and volunteers. A couple of new volunteer jobs and staff jobs (including clean-up and security) have been added. View these jobs on the registration page. All jobs are by application only in email to the coordinator.
Registration is just $30 until March 1. After that date the price increases over time to $60 at the gate. View the full price schedule on the registration page. Save money and register now!
Pre-registration is encouraged to keep your cost low. FallFling, Moondance’s sister festival, will be held the second weekend in October. The Alchemy festival, which is unrelated to Moondance and FallFling, is the first weekend of October, so if you’d like to attend both Alchemy and FallFling, paying early for FallFling at the pre-registration rate may help with some of the financial stress.
