Dragon Hills Gets New Management

Dec 16, 2008

Dragon Hills, a Pagan friendly camping site in Carrollton, is changing its site management and facilities to improve appeal to groups and individuals within the Pagan community. Event coordinators James and Rita Middleton, who run Duckstock “The Party” at Dragon Hills, have been assisting the land owners with the land management in the past few years. While ownership of the land will remain with Bob and Linda Crowe, James and Rita will assume all day-to-day operations of Dragon Hills, including management of facilities, planning for the camping portion of the site, scheduling for events, and all on-site needs. James and Rita will handle reservations, negotiations, and planning for all future events at Dragon Hills.

In addition to managing the property, James and Rita will be present at all events on the property to assist with any immediate facility needs. Immediate plans for flush toilets are moving forward quickly and should be in place before the major camping events in 2009. This amenity will make camping at Dragon Hills more attractive to those people who want creature comforts. The new site managers hope that changes like flush toilets and improved bathing facilities will bring a renewed energy and attendance to Dragon Hills of both Pagan events and non-Pagan events like SCA gatherings, weddings, motorcycle rallies, and live action role playing games.
